Twix has reached out to none other than The Shoe Surgeon for a partnership on an Air Jordan 1 that is set to debut a new Cookies n Creme candy bar.
Any promo is good promo but Twix hit this one completely out of the park. Instead of trying to insert themselves into the shoe game, they passed the torch to a pro, and someone who is well respected and knows the sneaker game like the back of their hand. We all have found a Shoe Surgeon custom that we utterly love, and it’s pretty hard to not like this Twix edition that he worked on here.
The inspiration behind the upper is definitely the baby blue chrome wrapping paper of the new Twix Cookies n Creme. While blue corduroy floods the overlays and tongue, a white textile base makes up the toe and side paneling. It’s key to note, The Shoe Surgeon didn’t just look at the looks of the wrapper for inspiration, he also took the use into account as well. The upper can be peeled back just like the wrapper to reveal the candy bar inside portrayed by textile bumps of cookie bits and chocolatey goodness, users are in for a sweet tweet. Luxurious red labels are placed on the tongue for Twix branding while “Left Twix” and “Right Twix” are written in in the bottoms of the translucent outsoles.
